The deadline for submissions is 15 March 2014. Submitted manuscripts must be original and may not be under review by another publication. The United Nations System Standing Committee on Nutrition (UNSCN) has just published a call for contributions for the next issue of its peer reviewed publication, the SCN News. The SCN News 40 will be exploring issues such as: how do agriculture and food systems impact nutrition outcomes? How can they contribute to improved nutrition? What can be done, and how? New online discussion: Nutrition-enhancing agriculture and food systems

A second online discussion feeding into the preparations of the International Conference on Nutrition (ICN2) has been launched by the Global Forum on Food Security and Nutrition. The topic being discussed now is Nutrition-enhancing agriculture and food systems. Participants are invited to comment on the background papers and materials for the ICN2 and on how to incorporate nutrition objectives, concerns and considerations into agriculture and food systems, to improve diets and raise levels of food and nutrition security.
